Sabilink’s mission is to empower Nigerian Youths through Hands-on industry training and help build technology-related businesses in our technology accelerator hub in Abuja.
The reason we are here today is to train and mentor you to build a promising career and business in technology.
A lot of Nigerian youths spend thousands of dollars to pay tuition to japa and after japaing, a lot can’t get a good job to apply for permanent residence. These are smart Nigerians who should be working on building billion-dollar businesses, now they become illegal immigrants and life is not as promising as it should be.
What are we doing to solve this problem?
We are training Nigerian youths to have the technical skills to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with graduates of MIT, Stanford, Harvard, etc.
We also mentor Nigerian youths, grouping them to build multi-million dollar startup products to be able to raise funds and sponsor themselves to travel abroad to run their business.
What will you be learning in the next couple of days?
Problem Solving We will introduce you to problem-solving, our goal is to build talents with critical thinking to solve world problems. We hope to apply for intellectual property in the unique and interesting problems we will be solving.
We will introduce you to a robot that lives in a world and you will instruct this robot to perform specific tasks. This is the foundation of problem-solving in our digital hub and it gets complex when participants build a simple breakout game.
Participants will also learn the basics of Web Development on their phones. So we will introduce you to the process where you can build a web application with your phone.
Gsuite We realize that some Nigerian youths cannot manage their time and attend meetings promptly. We will introduce participants to Google Calendar to help manage their time, Google Forms to help collect data, and other Google applications.
This will enable participants to not only build good soft skills but also have the skills to work efficiently in a company.
NOTE All our training is practical, although you can’t run the Robot code on your phone you are welcome to book an appointment to visit our Digital Lab Post-Camp to test your code.
What is next?
We have a slot in Web Summit in Vancouver to display a minimum viable product to a massive audience of entrepreneurs, innovators, and tech talents and because of this we are looking for problem solvers to join our team, we are looking for youths who are interested in:
