Sabilink is a technology accelerator hub, our mission is to support entrepreneurs while empowering youths, we intend to achieve this by doing the following:

  • Train youths in our skill acquisition center and
  • Support Start ups by providing vetted technical talents as interns.
  • Recruitment Process

We are looking for problem solvers. We also want to make an impact by creating job opportunities for young smart graduates to break into technology, while using their skills for something positive.

The best place for us to have a pool of young people is at the National Youth Service Corps members camp.

    A wee bit about NYSC:

  • The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a mandatory, post-tertiary scheme set up by the Nigerian government. There, graduates of universities and polytechnics are required to take part in the National Youth Service Corps program for one year. This is known as the "national service year."
  • Orientation Camp - Nigerian youths who are eligible for service are expected to proceed to their various states of posting for registration and the orientation camp exercise, which is the first phase of the service year.
  • The "orientation" period is approximately three weeks (21 days) and is spent in a regimented "camp" away from family and friends.

  • At the end of the orientation, corps members are posted to their place of primary assignment. While the NYSC management takes into consideration the areas of specialization of Corps members carrying out the posting exercise, emphasis is placed in rural posting in the areas of Agriculture, Health, Education and Infrastructure.
  • Sabilink is partnering with the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurial Department of the National Youth Service Corps responsible for training corps members to acquire skills.

Sabilink would go to the camp, conduct training and assess corps members for the best talents. Training would be Introduction to Information Technology, our curriculum:

  • Problem Solving
  • G Suite
  • Training Process

Corps Members who are selected from the camp would be trained for four months at Sabilink. Corps members would attend two trainings:

  • Problem Solving with Java (1 Month) - Youths would learn how to solve problems, Object Oriented Programming
  • Website Development (3 Months) - Youths would learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, Functional Programming with Javascript and React
  • After completing the training, youths would continue unto paid internship with our partners for eight months.

    Working Days

Corps members are expected to use one day in a week for group CDS activities. They are not expected to attend duties in their places of Primary assignment on CDS days. Such days are dedicated to the execution of projects and programmes that will improve the living conditions of their host communities.

Due to this, Corps members are expected to work 4 days per week.

Post-Service - Placement with Partner Companies

After the eight months work experience with our partner, talent are advised to get trained on technology like Operating System, Cloud Computing and Automation that would qualify them to take the role of a junior/intermediate engineer in the industry.

Partners are welcome to sponsor talents on the six months training and then take the cost of training from their salary every month.

Partners can continue to engage talent to work with them remotely from Africa or sponsor them on a work visa to work on site abroad.

    Post-Service - Idea Hub

Sabilink as an accelerator hub would work with youths with innovative ideas who are looking to become entrepreneurs.

We are super excited about this initiative and we hope to work with partners around the world who are interested in unlocking the World’s stranded brilliance. Remember, talent is evenly distributed but opportunity is not.

We strongly believe this initiative would have a broader economic and social impact which would drive economic growth, harness creativity and innovation, foster a culture of entrepreneurship, encourage self-reliance, financial independence, reduce youth unemployment, brain drain, enhance community development and global competitiveness.

We are looking forward to partnering with you.
